Dear Friends of SURGE,
Work continues on our upcoming CD release “Begin To Burn". Currently we
are playing 7 of the cuts in our live shows.
These have been very well received which absolutely thrills
us to no end! The anthemish “Livin’ It Up”, “Begin To Burn”, “What Burns Within” & most recently “Ya’ Make Me Wanna’…(Pop!)” seem to be generating
the most fan requests. We believe that by the time this
baby is released there will be several others that will have people excited and talking as well.
It had been our hope to release “Begin To Burn” well before this time, however, playing 2-3 shows every single weekend has made that extremely “difficult”. We simply have not had sufficient time available to record AND cover the demands of our performance schedule.
We are now IN THE PROCESS of recording and have
made much progress on the 11 tracks that will appear on “Begin To Burn”. We have found that the live performances of
these songs bring on new ideas about how they can be played. Although it is
frustrating, we have found it necessary to push
back the release of “Begin To Burn”,
until the end of 2010. We just can’t rush it. The band is
proud of this album
and we feel that we owe it to ourselves and to you to provide the best
possible
product that our abilities (and our finances) will allow.
